Civil War Battles: Campaign Petersburg

John Tiller Software & the Wargame Design Studio are pleased to announce the release of Campaign Petersburg, the thirteenth title in the Civil War Battles series. Campaign Petersburg is focused on the nine month campaign in central Virginia which culminated with the surrender of the Southern forces at Appomattox Court House. Campaign Petersburg covers the battles in and around Petersburg, Five Forks, Sailors Creek, High Bridge and more.

This release also marks the transition in which the Wargame Design Studio has taken the lead in the further development of this series. Interface changes, all new 2D & 3D graphics and more mark this transition.

Campaign Petersburg includes almost 200 scenarios ranging in size from small skirmishes to full engagements. Scenarios are able to be played as stand alone actions or in the linked campaign engine which allows losses & fatigue to carry over.

Campaign Petersburg will be the last new released game that supports Windows XP. The first update for Petersburg, followed by the next round of updates for the Civil War Battles series will also support XP – but after that all new games and updates will no longer support it.

Additionally, we continue to provide Free migrations for former HPS customers to the JTS versions of our games once updates are released. A game must have an update posted here to qualify for migration: http://www.johntillersoftware.com/Updates.html
