Paradox adapte Crusader Kings en jeu de plateau

Re-surprise ! En outre qui devrait intéresser les amateurs de la période médiévale, en plus évidemment des nombreux joueurs de Crusader Kings. En effet voici que Paradox se lance sur le marché des jeux de plateau, et va donc s’associer à différents éditeurs pour proposer des déclinaisons de ses jeux PC jouables sur une table de salon, dans le cas présent pour 3 à 5 joueurs.

Pour marquer le coup, l’éditeur suédois a choisi de lancer une modeste campagne de financement, l’objectif étant légèrement en deçà des 50 000 euros. Ce qui devrait garantir la réussite du projet, dont la date de sortie n’est pas encore connue.

Et comme le mentionne le communiqué, il ne s’agit ici que d’une première adaptation en jeu de plateau des jeux de Paradox, Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, et Cities: Skylines étant semble-t-il les prochains sur la liste.

Game Publisher and Developer to Release Analog Adaptations of Four Popular Franchises

This morning at PDXCON, the publisher’s annual fan convention, it was announced that Paradox is collaborating with a series of proven board game designers to bring its own game worlds to life outside of digital platforms. Beginning with Paradox’s iconic series Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, and Cities: Skylines, the creators at Paradox will capture the strategy and themes of its games in tabletop form, allowing players to tell their own stories in a new way.

The first game to be produced will be the Crusader Kings board game, designed and published in cooperation with Free League Publishing, developers of the award-winning tabletop roleplaying games Mutant Year Zero and Tales from the Loop RPG. Players will compete in Crusader Kings for military, religious, and political power while keeping their personal dynasty strong, using cards and miniatures to experience the iconic medieval intrigue of Paradox’s long-running PC franchise.
