Pike and Shot : sortie de Tercio to Salvo

Epsom, UK – April 7, 2015.
“Monarchs ought to put to death the authors and instigators of war, as their sworn enemies and as dangers to their states.” (Elizabeth I – Queen of England and Ireland)

In his holy quest to cover epic battles of an underrepresented time period, Richard Bodley Scott – game designer of the Pike & Shot series – makes a major comeback with a first expansion named Tercio to Salvo. Following in the footsteps of the base game – which blew some journalist minds with a 90 metascore on iPad – Tercio to Salvo introduces brand new conflicts and nations for a refreshing wargaming experience.

The expansion includes 10 historical scenarios that depict iconic European battles from the 16th and early 17th centuries:

French Wars of Religion – Dreux, 1562; Moncontour, 1569; Coutras, 1587; Arques, 1589; Ivry, 1590
Danish-Swedish wars – Axtorna, 1565
Ottoman-Habsburg wars – Sisak 1593
Eighty Years War – Nieuwpoort 1600
Swedish-Polish wars – Kokenhausen 1601; Kircholm 1605

Most of all, the expansion brings 49 brand new army lists for skirmish mode (more than the total number in the original game), including two new nations (Russia and the Dutch Republic), allowing fans to generate an infinite number of what-if scenarios with very diversified settings and troop types. Fans of history and early modern warfare should load their musket because we are very happy to announce that Tercio to Salvo is now available on PC and iPad!

A terrific 50% launch discount is available on PC only! We are also going to offer a free Steam key to anyone who bought a copy of the PC version from the Matrix Games or Slitherine store, once the game is available on this digital platform!
