XCOM ou Market Garden 44 sur Android, East Front 43 ou Alexandre le Grand sur iPad

Le studio écossais Hunted Cow continue d’étoffer la palette de ses jeux disponibles sur iPad / iPhone. Après Ancient Battle – Alexander début avril c’est au tour du volet 1943 de la série Tank Battle – East Front d’arriver sur l’App Store d’Apple.

A noter aussi que Civil War 1862, sorti l’automne dernier sur iOS, est désormais aussi jouable avec tous ses DLC sur Mac.

Pour les amateurs de science-fiction et d’invasion extra-terrestre, l’excellent XCOM Enemy Unknown débarque ces derniers jours sur Android. Pour l’instant il n’y a que le mode solo, mais le mode multi sera patché prochainement. Au passage sachez que le prix de la version sur iTunes est réduit environ de moitié, soit dans les deux cas le jeu pour un peu moins de 9 euros.

Enfin, du coté de John Tiller Software, c’est Market Garden ’44 qui est maintenant le quatrième épisode de la série Panzer Campaigns jouable sur Android. Et très prochainement sur iPad.

Ah, encore une chose, pour ceux qui attendent le futur troisième volet de la série Crisis in Command, Desert Fox – The Battle of El Alamein, pas d’inquiétude, le jeu semble toujours prévu sur iOS d’ici à la fin du printemps. En attendant que le développement soit fini, Shenandoah Studios en parle d’ailleurs régulièrement, images à l’appui, sur son blog.

April 10th, 2014 – Ancient Battle: Alexander Releasing Tomorrow!

Developers Hunted Cow Studios and HexWar are happy to announce that Ancient Battle: Alexander, the second in their series of hex-based wargame simulations covering the Ancient Era, will be available on the App Store tomorrow for $1.99/ €1.79 / £1.49 with no in-app purchases.

Ancient Battle: Alexander is based upon, and a major upgrade to, the game system developed for Ancient Battle: Rome. A game that was the No.1 strategy game on the App Store in 8 countries. Major game system improvements include improved A.I., improved combat analysis system, better flank attack logic and better line of sight logic.

Included in this version are three campaigns that allow you to refight Alexander’s battles in and around Greece and Macedonia, including the battle of Chaeronea. The second campaign follows his push to conquer the Achaemenid Persian Empire, while having to deal with rebellious Spartans in Greece. Finally Alexander’s campaign in India, ending in the epic battle of Hydaspes, with the Macedonian Pike Phalanx versus the masses of Indian Elephants.

Ancient Battle: Alexander features 48 unique Ancient units including Macedonian Phalangites, Greek Hoplites, Indian Elephants, Scythed Chariots, Persian Cavalry, Catapults, Archers, Slingers.

 

April 24th, 2014 – Tank Battle: East Front 1943 Launches

Developers Hunted Cow Studios and HexWar are pleased to announce that Tank Battle: East Front 1943, the third release in the Tank Battle: East Front series is available on the App Store now for $1.99/ €1.79 / £1.49 with no in-app purchases.

Tank Battle: East Front 1943 is a game of tactical combat on the Russian Front during 1943 in which you can fight as the Germans or the Soviets in a series of ever more complex missions.

1943 was the year of the great tank battles of World War Two. The Soviet forces are no longer retreating and are now able to go head to head with the German panzers armies in open battle. The Germans, responding to their shock on facing the impressive Soviet T-34, field their ‘super weapons’ with the Tiger Tank appearing in increasing numbers, and by June the deadly Panther Tank.

Missions vary from straightforward wipe out the enemy missions, to capture key objectives, to protect vital supply convoys. There is a whole range of missions to reflect the tactical complexity of warfare on the Eastern Front.

The game system is based on, and a major upgrade of, the successful game engine developed for ‘Tank Battle: North Africa’. Tank Battle: East Front 1941 and Tank Battle East Front: 1942 are already available from the App Store. More Tank Battle: East Front missions will follow with the release of Tank Battle: East Front 1944 and 1945 in the coming weeks.

 

April 16th, 2014 – Civil War: 1862 coming to Mac App Store

Civil War: 1862, the prequel to strategy wargame Civil War: 1863, is coming to the Mac App Store tomorrow and includes all the previously available DLC from the iOS version included in the purchase price of $6.99 / €5.99 / £4.99.

Civil War: 1862 features an 8 mission tutorial and 53 detailed missions across 7 campaigns. All missions can be played as both the Union and Confederates with the exception of the tutorial.

Civil War: 1862 incorporates the detailed strategic gameplay of the original (Civil War: 1863) while adding major new features and improvements such as flank attacks and strategic movement. Melee combat has also been given greater emphasis and the range of troop quality has been expanded to include elite units.

The Mac version of the game also features iCloud saves so missions can be started on the Mac then loaded later on the iOS version of the game so you can continue your battles on the move. Note this feature will be available in the Mac release tomorrow, however the iOS update to the game will be released to support it shortly afterwards.
