Commands & Colors – Ancients : nouvelles images

HexWar et GMT semblent confirmer à nouveau leur partenariat concernant le développement d’une version informatique du volet de la série Command and Colors sur le thème de la période Antique. Le projet n’est pas nouveau, il est en chantier au moins depuis l’été dernier, mais comme on le voit sur ces nouvelles captures d’écrans il prend de mieux en mieux forme. L’interface paraissant ici bien plus aboutie que sur les précédentes images.

Hexwar Games has partnered with GMT Games to bring you a digital version of Commands & Colors: Ancients the board game. The game allows players to portray important engagements of ancient history. The battles focus on the historical deployment of forces and important terrain features on the scale of the game system.

The scale of the game is flexible and varies from battle to battle. For some scenarios, an infantry unit may represent an entire legion of soldiers, while in other scenarios, a unit may represent just a few brave warriors.

The command card system drives movement, creates “fog of war” and presents players with many interesting challenges and opportunities, while the battle dice resolve combat quickly and efficiently. The battlefield tactics you will need to execute to gain victory conform remarkably well to the strengths and limitations of the various ancient unit types, their weapons, the terrain and history.

– Over 50 unique combat and command cards to simulate tactical and strategic choices

GMT – Digital Games

We don’t have a lot of news on the digital front this time, but there IS a lot going on in the background. Our understanding is that the digital version of Commands & Colors: Ancients is very close to release, so look for that soon. Also, I can’t share details yet, but I can say that we’re going to have a big announcement within the next 60 days or so that is going to make you fans of our digital games very happy. Stay tuned.
