Monty’s Front, prochaine étape pour WeGo World War 2

En bref. Après l’Afrique du nord et Stalingrad, la série WeGo World War 2 va accélérer la cadence avec une future trilogie nous emmenant sur le front Ouest, entre autres en Normandie et à Arnhem. Le projet a été dévoilé discrètement en novembre dernier. Le premier volet de la trilogie étant en plein développement, je vous met juste en en-tête une image d’une version alpha. Vous en trouverez quelques autres dans les discussions chez Matrix.

En attendant un communiqué, pour plus d’informations sur WEGO WW2: Monty’s Front et la trilogie, voyez l’annonce suivante puis pour le moment dans le forum officiel chez Matrix. Il y aura peut-être une phase bêta vers le printemps prochain.

WEGOWW2: Monty’s Front Trilogy

WEGOWW2: MONTY’S FRONT is a trilogy consisting of three separate operational-level computer games based on the combat operations of General Bernard Montgomery’s 21st Army Group in Northwest Europe between June and November 1944. Each game will come with 15+ scenarios, at least one campaign game, and a tutorial. These are operational-level games where the primary maneuver units are battalions and separate companies under the command of a regimental or brigade headquarters.

WEGOWW2: OVERLORD. This game will cover the period 6 June – 20 July 1944; from the invasion of Normandy to the fall of St. Lo and the attempted assassination of Adolf Hitler. Scenario Designer: Don Timian.

WEGOWW2: MARKET-GARDEN. This game will cover the period 17 – 25 September 1944. The main focus is on forces involved in Operation Market-Garden. Scenario Designer: John Duquette

WEGOWW2: INFATUATE. This game will cover the period following the closing of the Falaise Pocket; 24 August – 8 November 1944. The battles include those for the coastal ports and Walcheran Island (i.e. the operations of the Canadian’s “Cinderella Army” in Northwest Europe). Scenario Designer: John Duquette
