En bref. Après être semble-t-il sorti très discrètement sur PC vers le milieu de l’été, le nouveau jeu d’Eversim est sorti sur Android via Google Play il y a une dizaine de jours. Et arrivera sur iPad en janvier prochain. Il ne s’agit plus directement d’un jeu de stratégie, mais plutôt d’une sorte de jeu massivement multijoueur dit du monde d’aujourd’hui, MMO où l’on incarne un personnage contemporain (homme politique, artiste ou journaliste) dont le but est d’acquérir le plus possible d’influence afin de changer le monde.

World of Leaders is a massively multiplayer role-playing game, in which players take on the roles of politicians, artists, and journalists in today’s world. Their objective is to acquire maximum influence and to develop and strengthen their careers. In this pursuit, they can become, as an example, the country’s most popular singer or its Head of State.
The game unfolds at the same pace as the real world. Each day, players can take action in the game to plan their travel, manage their budgets, establish contacts and develop their network, make statements, write articles, and create events.
These events are free creations, in which players can combine text, music, photos, and video, including webcam recordings of their own. A voting system makes it possible to evaluate the popularity of these creations, elect political leaders, and approve laws proposed by the players themselves. These laws will affect economic, social, and political data.
Through making the right alliances and being persuasive, players can also change how the world works according to their ideas.
World of Leaders is now available for PC and on Android™, and is scheduled for a release on Apple iPad® in January of 2015. It offers free-to-play with Premium subscription options.

L’ayant testé sur PC pendant plusieurs semaines, je ne vous le conseille pas. Buggé, lassant et (très très !) mal optimisé. Il fait la part belle au système “pay-to-win” qui permet de se créer plusieurs personnages et donc de voter pour soi-même (le joueur élu président français disposait d’une dizaine de comptes “légaux” puisque payé). D’autant plus que le système VIP peut être partiellement contourné par des bug-abuse (j’ai amassé plusieurs millions d’€ sans rien faire). Bref, un pur produit Eversim.
