A mi-chemin entre récit de partie, roman-fiction et guide stratégique, Paradox ajoute à son catalogue différents ebooks compatible avec la tablette Kindle d’Amazon. Disponibles pour plusieurs jeux, ils sont monnayés une dizaine de dollars. Ainsi, The Chronicles of Konstantinos: A Crusader Kings II Narrative Guide et A Fall of Kings: Champions of Anglia I sont consacrés à Crusader Kings II et suivent deux points de vue différents (le deuxième est centré sur la dernière extension en date, The Old Gods – voir notre test). D’autres titres suivront cette année.
L’idée est originale et peut apporter un nouvel intérêt à la possession d’un guide stratégique, là enrichi d’une narration. The line-up includes A Year with Mojang: Behind the Scenes of Minecraft, the first-ever biography delving into the mega-hit indie game that has forged one of the largest game communities to date, as well as three previously unannounced books, based on the Crusader Kings II and War of the Roses franchises.
Six books will be available under Paradox Books initially, and several more have been signed and will be distributed later in the year. The books will broach everything from biographical behind the scenes books to game strategy guides to fiction and novels.

C’est une initiative relativement originale (bien que Prima ait depuis longtemps emprunté cette voie) et intéressante. Malheureusement, je considère personnellement que le prix demandé pour un tel format est vraiment excessif. Ce genre de guides ne devrait pas excéder deux euros.
