Valor & Victory, la version numérique du wargame classique à base d’hexagones et de pions, est désormais disponible. Avec 20 scénarios basés sur des événements réels peu après le débarquement de Normandie en 1944, le jeu propose un système de jeu complet pour la Seconde Guerre mondiale, couvrant le combat d’infanterie et de blindés, les assauts rapprochés, les fortifications et bien plus encore.
Le jeu met en scène la bataille de la station radar de Douvres-la-Délivrande, qui a eu lieu le 17 juin 1944, c’est donc aujourd’hui son 77e anniversaire. Ce jour-là le 41 commando des Royal Marines a mené l’assaut, appuyé par les Sherman du 22nd Dragoons. C’était la principale station radar de la Luftwaffe dans la région, elle comprenait cinq radars, des champs de mines, des bunkers et le tout entouré de barbelés.
Le jeu est publié avec un manuel PDF complet, un scénario tutoriel et des vidéos explicatives. La version francophone du jeu est d’un niveau très correct et sera même perfectionnée d’ici peu. En outre un guide succinct en français est en préparation.
Un tournoi, justement nommé « Operation Overlord », débutera début juillet et est déjà ouvert aux inscriptions, sur le site de Matrix / Slitherine.
Il permettra d’y affronter ses adversaires trois scénarios :
- 6 juin 1944 – Sainte-Marie-du-Mont
- 6 juin 1944 – Le combat pour Colleville
- 17 juin 1944 – Bataille de la station radar de Douvres

Valor & Victory, the digital version of the classic hex and counter tabletop wargame, is out now. With 20 scenarios based around real events shortly after the Normandy Landings in 1944, the game features a complete WWII wargaming system, covering infantry and armored combat, close assaults, fortifications and much more.
The game features the Battle of Douvres Radar Station, which took place on June 17th, 1944. Today marks its 77th anniversary: the British 41 Commando, Royal Marines led the attack supported by the tanks of the 79th Armoured Division. The Radar at Douvres was the main Luftwaffe radar station in the area. It was a fortified position with five radars, minefields, bunkers and ringed by barbed wire. The scenario covers the final assault by 41 Commando with a couple of Shermans in support.

SIGN UP FOR THE « OPERATION OVERLORD » TOURNAMENT
Valor & Victory launches with tournament support: if you’re looking to test your skills, you can sign up here and join the Operation Overlord tournament. All you need to do is sign up, then the system will pair you with opponents and create your PBEM games. You will be notified by mail of when the tournament is starting, and when it will be time to play your turns.
The tournament will start in two weeks, and it will include three rounds, each one lasting 21 days.
You will challenge your opponents in three scenarios:
June 6th, 1944 – St. Marie Du Mont, France
June 6th, 1944 – The Fight for Colleville, France
June 17th, 1944 – Battle of Douvres Radar Station, France
