“There can be no mercy. No surrender. If we survive this day it will be a miracle.” (Commissar Sebastian Yarrick)
Initially released on PC last November, Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon managed to seduce veterans of the Warhammer 40,000 universe and video game critics alike. According to Rock Paper Shotgun it was “an accessible wargame” while Digitally Downloaded reviewer was “genuinely challenged”. In any case, the players agree saying that the game succeeded in capturing the unique tabletop feel of the franchise.
Today iPad owners will be happy to know that the game and all its expansions are now available on tablets! Benefiting from extra months of development, this adaptation contains all of the updates released since November, including the free Untold Battles expansion and is fully localized to German, French & Spanish. On top of that, the developers have given specific attention to optimization and controls in order to deliver the best possible experience on iPad.
Fans of Space Marine Chapters will also have the opportunity to relive the Blood Angels, Salamanders and Ultramarines contributions to the Second War for Armageddon through 3 extra campaigns, available via in-app purchases. Here is the official price list for this release:
Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon (including Untold Battles): $19.99
Vulkan’s Wrath expansion: $4.99
Angels of Death expansion: $4.99
Glory of Macragge expansion: $4.99
The 3 Space marines DLC’s are also available as a package for $9.99.
Time has come to raise high the banner of the Emperor and repel the hated Ork invasion!
